Love and Hurt at the TVAA

If you haven’t been to the Texas Visual Artists Association (TVAA) Downtown Gallery in a while, or if you’ve never been…it is time to go check it out for yourself! The TVAA is an extremely open, welcoming, and accepting gallery, with members who are not only talented but also genuinely supportive and collaborative. Every month there is a new show, with a new theme, and none of the original works of art are ever repeated. All new works, every month! There are a lot of great galleries in Dallas, but the TVAA is a place where you can find an amazing piece of original art that won’t break the bank.

This month, February 2019, the TVAA features a show entitled, Love and Hurt. The show is curated by a tremendous Dallas-based artist, JuJu Bartush and features paintings, drawings, watercolors, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, and assembled art. The range is phenomenal!

I am happy to announce that my painting, hindsight, was the juried recipient of 1stPlace in the show! My painted acrylic sculpture, Don’t Get Burned, was also an honorable mention recipient. Check them out while they are still in the gallery. The show runs through March 2, 2019. If you have any questions about the TVAA, the gallery, or any of the works, don’t hesitate to ask me or contact the gallery directly at www.tvaa.org. 700 N. Pearl Street in Dallas, TX at the Plaza of the Americas.
